We are delighted to advise that as part of your IPA membership, you have access to specialist Income Protection, Loss of Licence Insurance, Permanent Inability to Fly Insurance and Legal Expenses policies specifically designed for pilots.
Everywhen offers a range of policies designed to protect your income, including Income Protection, Loss of Licence Insurance and Permanent Inability to Fly Insurance. The Independent Pilots Association Specialist Legal Expenses policy is also available.
All policies have been designed to be flexible in terms of the cover available and are specific to the pilot community. Applications are made online with bespoke quotations issued directly to you.
Your Legal Protection Benefits
Legal Expenses
Provides legal expertise up to £125,000 to defend your legal rights in certain circumstances, including Statutory Authority Representation, Government Authority Representation, Legal Defence and Personal Injury.
Also includes 24-hour legal advice by telephone on any matter.
Pilot Income Protection
Pays a pre-agreed monthly benefit after a waiting period should you be unable to carry out your normal occupation as a pilot due to injury or illness.
Cover is available up to £5,000 per month, subject to policy limits.
Loss of Licence Insurance
Pays a pre-agreed lump sum if your licence is permanently revoked or you are unable to regain your medical certificate following illness or accident.
Cover is available up to £300,000.
Permanent Inability to Fly Insurance
Provides a pre-agreed lump sum should you suffer from one of the qualifying medical conditions listed within the policy.
Maximum cover available is £150,000.
Policy Details
Legal Expenses
Pilot Income Protection
Pays a pre-agreed monthly benefit after a waiting period should you be unable to carry out your normal occupation as a pilot due to injury or illness.
The status of your licence is not taken into consideration.
The total benefits received, including any employer paid benefits, must not exceed 85% of your average net monthly salary, and the maximum cover you can purchase is £5,000.
Cover would cease at the age of 65, when you return to work or if you were to die, whichever the sooner.
Loss of Licence Insurance
Pays a pre-agreed lump sum benefit in the event your licence is permanently revoked or insurers are satisfied that, due to ill health or accident, you will not regain your medical certificate within five years of the disability.
Cover is available up to a maximum of £300,000; the amount of cover you can purchase and the premium will depend on your age.
Permanent Inability to Fly Insurance
Pays a pre-agreed lump sum should you suffer from one of the conditions noted in the policy.
The maximum level of cover available is £150,000.
